Why I Bought An Xbox One

I Bought An Xbox One.
Allow Me To Explain.

At the end of 2014, I still hadn’t jumped into the “next gen” consoles yet. I was spending my gaming time on the Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii, and my low-end PC. Then a miracle happened: I won a fantasy football league that provided me with enough money to purchase a brand new console. I now stood at a fork in the road. Do I stick with Microsoft and get the Xbox One? Does the underperforming Wii U have enough for me to justify a purchase? Or do I play catch-up on all the Sony games I’ve missed and pick up a PS4? I did the research, asked my friends, checked the deals and made my decision. In February, 2015, I bought a Playstation 4. Check out this post to find out why.

Here we are, almost a year later, and I still haven’t bought the Xbox One or Wii U. As fate would have it, I won that same fantasy football league – much to the dismay of the 9 other team owners – and I find myself at another impasse. Is it Nintendo or Microsoft? Playstation 4 v2.50 Update Goes Live

The Latest PS4 Firmware Update Has Arrived

Today Sony rolled out their latest system update for the PS4. It was 5 months ago that we saw update v2.0 introduce features like the ability to listen to music through a USB connection, Share Play, home screen themes, and YouTube support.

You’re Suspended

In v2.50, there will be an “onslaught of features,” according to the Official Playstation Blog. The most talked about addition is the ability to Suspend and Resume most games from Rest Mode. This will be a welcome feature for games that take a disproportionate amount of time to get into the actual game world (I’m looking at you, EA Sports games. All of you.)
